FluidCompose

This is a tool for collage making, intended to be simple and allow you to reach a state of flow while constructing a collage! 

Minimal interface, additional help sidebars for every program state, keyboard-driven workflow - intuitive shortcuts instead of UI buttons, multiple ways of adding content: drag-n-drop, copy-paste, file browser. 

The main feature is an export - we try to keep the highest possible quality of the resulting image so that you can print your collage in a matter of seconds with no settings hassle. Firstly you choose a region for export and then press Enter and you are done!  

We didn't intend to make another photoshop, but rather narrow the gap between the digital and handcrafted processes. So our tool is ace in image cutting. It can be an intermediary part of the creative pipeline.

Who are we?

This project is developed by a team of seven as a part of our internship. Our goal was to improve both hard and soft skills - and create a slick-looking product. 

This is our probation project in a company - its' success is our first in our career. We are a team of seven:

Known things
* Exported image can be large, because it's an uncompressed png file, with max possible resolution for preserving image quality. The resulting size will be optimized in subsequent versions. (Converting the image to jpeg through any image editing software will reduce its size greatly)
* Please do not close FluidCompose after starting the export process, if closed immediately the exported image can be incomplete. We'll add visual clues about the export process finishing.
* App is unsigned yet, so Windows can open a pop-up window with a warning which should be dismissed. :) For macOS, we added an instruction inside the app bundle on how to extract FluidCompose from the quarantine.
